Bess week 10

Well, I didn't lose any weight, but I am going walking, and eating better. I printed out a little walking schedule. I'm going to keep it! Even if I only have time to walk at10 at night! :)  Well keep up the fight everyone!! Let's get to that million pounds!!

Barbie- Week 10

Today I'm at 177! I didn't do very well making it to the gym but, i manged to eat better so that was good. I'm hoping to do both next week.
I have to say that the TV show really made me mad last night. I watched it for 2 hours and no one was voted off. That show is just strating to get on my nerves with the rules constantly changing. If I wanted to watch drama I'd watch survivor!

Bess week 9

I haven't lost any weight over the past couple of weeks. I have hit a plateau but I think I have been slacking some. So I'm going to get back on track and hopefully by Tuesday I will have lost more weight.

Barbie- Week 9

ok, I'm back at 178! I was sick all weekend so I'm not sure if that helped me get there but, at this point who cares. I'm back at 178 and happy to be there. It's been 9 week and I'm happy to have lost 9 pounds. I'm hoping to be at 176 next week! We did work out this week and I did avoid the desserts at work so I feel good.

Barbie- Week 8

I was in D.C. last week so I didn't have a chance to write my blog for week 7. Last week I was still at 178 so I was ok with that. This week I actually gained a pound and I'm back at 179. These past 2 weeks have been rough since I've been traveling and working so much. Hopefully I'll get to move the scale down a few pounds next week. I'm really goinng to try hard to get back on track. Bess has school tonight so I'll have to make myself work out by myself or I can go pick up my other sister and take her to the gym with me. Hopefully Bess and I can go tomorrow and over the weekend. Let's hope for sunny weather so we can walk outside.

Bess-Week7

I lost one pound this week! I weigh 216, I'm so glad to have finally lost again! I have the flu so as soon as I'm better I can get in a few miles this week of walking.

Bess Week 6

I gained 1 pound this week. I have to be honest, I'm having a hard time sticking with healthy foods. I need to back in touch with my commitment to eat and live healthier now. We're putting in new flooring this weekend so that will help me burn some calories. Most importantly, I'm not giving up!! And I definately have it in me to lose the weight. It's not about will power it's about LIFESTYLE!!! Ok sorry for the cheesiness...

Barbie- Week 6

I weigh 178 today! I've never been so excited to lose 1 pound. I thought I would probably gain a few pounds since I was out of town so much last week with work. I didn't really have a choice of what to eat at some of the meals since they were catered for the meetings. I still haven't been out on my bike yet, hopefully I'll be able top this weekend. Hopefully I'm back on track.

Barbie- Week 5

I weigh 179 again. Man, this is crazy. I bought a bike this weekend so maybe by adding some variety to my workout this week I can make a change. Feb is a short month so I have to step it up to lose 8 pounds. I can do this.

Bess- Week 5

Well I weigh the same today as last week, 217. I'm really glad I didn't gain, I had some tests in school and just a ton of things going on at once, so I didn't go walking much. I had some pizza Sunday during the Superbowl, but I didn't engorge like I used to. I expected to gain so I'm very happy with this weeks results. I'm getting things back in working order because I'm determined to lose this week!! I'm going to try to walk at least five miles this week. So pray that I make it!! :)

Barbie- Week 4

I still weigh 179. As this month is coming to an end I am still very pleased with losing 8 pounds in January. I figure if I can change my lifestyle that is worth more than losing big numbers and going diet crazy because I will be able to maintain my new weight. My goal is to stay on track and not lose focus. It is easy to keep going when you are seeing results. Since I didn't lose any weight this week I have to keep reminding myself not to give up. Losing weight the right way isn't easy but, it's been fun. I enjoy going to the gym and working out becaseu I realize what a priveledge it is. Being in that car accident and breaking my ankle really taught me not to assume I will always be able to do the things I want to do.

Bess-Week 4

This week I lost 2 pounds, I now weigh 217. WOO HOO!! I walked a lot this week and counted my calories. Yesterday me and Barbie spent an hour in the gym. We did the excercise bike, treadmill, and the eliptical. Plus I have been walking with my dog and on my treadmill at home. Wow I'm very pleased with Week 4 results and I will work harder in Week 5 so maybe I can lose three pounds!! :)

Bess-Week 3

I only ost one pound this week. I worked really hard, so I don't understand what went wrong. I will keep walking and working out and hopefully lose more next week!  :)

Barbie- Week 3

This week I only lost 1 pound. Honestly I am happy with that considering I missed most of my workouts this week. I had a migraine on 2 evenings when I had planned to work out. I'm back on track and I'm hoping for at least 2 pounds next week. It feels good to be in the 170s for a change!

My pedometer

Well....I keep forgetting my pedometer, but I think from what I can tell  I have been walking about 2000 steps a day. Which doesn't include the trail and treadmill walks I've been taking, because I wanted to see what I was averaging before I started trying to lose weight. Just so I can know how behind I am in steps  per day. I would like to work towards at least 5000. So I think that will be my new goal and now I will start wearing it during my walks too.

Bought a Pedometer

I got a new pedometer today. It's just a small one from Wal-Mart but it works, right? I'm going try and add 500 to 1000 steps a day. This will help me to make sure I'm more active every day than the last until I reach my goal. I'll make a goal after I see what my total steps are for the whole day tomorrow. I want to make my goal realistic and unique to me.

Barbie- Week 2

I am totally shocked today... I lost 4.5 pounds this week! I did really well working out but, didn't eat as healthy as last week. I had 4 and a half workouts.. I think yesterday only counts as half a work out because I just rode a stationary bike for 30 minutes. This week will be hard since I'm busy at work and will probably be working some over the weekend. I'm planning on 5 workouts and more salad, fruit and water. I had a coke at the movies Friday and another for lunch on Saturday. Hopefully this week I can resist the sugar!

Bess-week 2

Well I lost another 2 pounds this week. This is great for me, it's always been tough for me to lose weight. I think 2 pounds a week is very healthy, but of course I would love to have lost more. I just think I need to work out more, I have stuck with my plan of eating healthy. I excercised 3 or 4 times last week, so I will try to excercise more this week and try to count calories better. I have set my calories to 1900 a day, which is a more personalized and realistic goal for me.
 
 I will be in my best friend's wedding in May as the Matron of Honor so I plan to lose a bunch of weight so I will look better for her wedding.

Barbie- Week 1

This week I lost 2 1/2 pounds. I've been sick for the past few days so I only worked out 3 times this week. I've been eating better and most importantly I have stopped drinking coke so that should help me lose at least a pound a week. 

First weigh-in

This is Bess and today I weigh 223 pounds. I lost two pounds this week. It's not a lot of weight, but I have been feeling sick and my son has been sick so I didn't get to work out as much as I'd hoped. Next week I will try and workout at least 3 or four times and continue to eat better. I have been eating oatmeal for breakfast and having sandwiches for lunch with wheat bread. I drink unsweet tea and lots of water.
 
For the week coming up I plan to take my dogs for walks and use my treadmill more and hopefully I will have lost more weight next Tuesday. Everyone watch Biggest Loser tonight!!
